...is there much difference in the centre where it mounts to the wheel? SR I'm not sure I understand this question.

Hi Ken!
You want to use the R6 monoblock caliper on a 320 disc but what forks, yokes and wheel?
Regards Sven

Right now it would be on stock forks, triple clamp, and a XS, RD, TX Yamaha hub on a 18" rim. All we ever got here in the US was cast wheels. And only 4 years of importation ('78-'81). The RD front wheel should be a straight swap and has an 18" front rim. Relace it with an aluminum rim and all is good.

Ah, you want wire wheels... Hmm, should work with a 320 disc, but I'm not sure. Some people here converted to 320 discs and FZR 4pot calipers, that works without much space left. I can't imagine that the r6 caliper is much wider than the FZR device.

That's the basis for a brake I am making for my little Honda S90 racer...I need a twin leader for the front of the tiny machine. It comprises a Suzuki (surprise, surprise) front hub from an RM and the front brake plate and stuff from a YZ250/465...my plan at the moment is to make a pattern for a Honda style backing plate and adapt the YZ 2LS mechanism into that...more machining. I doub't that I will ever actually run out of projects in my lifetime...heh, heh...it's a sickness I know...but I can't help it. SR

Stew, will you really "NEED" a 2LS fron brake on the S90? I know that it will look really trick, like most of your bikes, but, the S90 definitly is not the quickest bike in the shed, I have had mine up too 97kph (speed by GPS going flat-out down hill just before entering the tunnel on the freeway below Eagle on the Hill coming back from the Birdwood Classic in 2005).

Sorry, its the green-eyed monster coming out in me again.

Nice work on the machining Stew. I allways look to see if you can drill holes or cut slots in the pieces i fabricate to save a few grams also. Hey every little bit helps. T6 alloy i presume.
