Trial fitment of the front R6 caliper to set up the dimensions for the caliper adaptor plate. The disc is from a Fireblade, 330mm...I am hoping that I can get a new centre made for it and have it fully floating...otherwise I need to have a new disc made. Lots more to come. SR

Here is the new back wheel I am fitting to the CR...it's from a Suzuki DR650 trailie...complete with disc and cush drive...more work to go yet. It has a 17" Takasago rim which appeals to me in a way...however I have decided on 18" Excel rims (also Takasago) so the 17 and spokes are most likely going...the rim will probably need more offset to the left as well... autos.ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/YamahaSR500CafeRacers/photos/view/d5d5?b=30&m=f&o=0SR

Here's my 330mm front disc mounted on the Talon hub...disc is from a Honda Fireblade with a custom made 7075 centre to my dimensions from Manta Ent in Melbourne....full floating (rattly) disc... ;D Caliper adaptor is next on the job list...zip ties are probably not quite strong enough... Other 2 pics are of my Vapor speedo pickup mount that I made on my mill. Works perfectly...it'll never break...heh, heh... SR

Yes, it was taken among the pics for the Classic Bike article on the bike in the mid '90s...a while ago now I guess. Great roads in those hills. That is one of those funny corners where to go quickly you have to change up half way through...to do it better you'd have to change the gearing on the bike... SR
