o.k.finally got the new cdi unit took 2 weeks from n.z to u.k.delighted!much smoother in the lower rev range pulls well althrough to top end, gave the bike a good run this morning also better pick up on the throttle.dead straight forward to fit, right connector blocks so no fiddling with wiring needed, attached to the back of the battery box where the old unit was.had to use tyewraps as there is no fixings with the unit but not a problem.my opinion? they are very good but more to the point they do what the makers say and smooth out the advance curve so pick up is better right through the rev range.hope you are all convinced!

Hi Sjef, good to hear you are using this system! I can pick your brains about them....How has it been for you? I hope you say it is great because i just bought quite a few of these kits.....ha ha too late now if you say bad.... I havn't played with this particular brand before, but my guys here really like them and have had a lot of experience with them. Highly recomended by them and they know their stuff! so we thought we would give them a try. Is it a fairly straight forward set up in terms of use and usability?

hi shibuyagas78,
Quality and completeness and fitment of the kit is excellent as are most of the japanese aftermarket parts. as far as i know it is the only compatible adjustable aftermarket cdi in the world for the sr also there are coils available for twinspark, came in handy with my daytonahead.much smoother running of the engine.

hallo Andy Nothing wrong with hyperpak they have a fair price/qualityratio.but the price is without the ignitioncoil. i have here a similar one (specs and qualitywise)from MSD 70,-GBP The Asuotani kits are a definite improvement, the kit comes with a highperformance ignitioncoil and all the nuts and bolts, this gives a a morepowerful longer spark, so better fueleconomy and combustion. easier starting, smoother idle.So if you need a cdi and do not want to tune the engine in the future Hyperpak is fine. if you have any idea of tuning your engine my first choise would be Asuotani. best regards sjef
