So that you guys can get some ideas for your own rearsets and drum brakes to use etc. here are a few to get you thinking. They are mostly mine, but two of the pics of the Tingate ones are from another SR owners from here in the ACT. One drum brake pic is of Ben's front drum from Deus.

You'll note that my Tingate rearsets have been modified by me to take a rear brake cable as Rod only built them for the rear disc model.

Hope these pics give you some ideas...

SR

Rearsets:

Black cafe racer - modified Tingates...

Rear drum cable attachment...

Rear drum (TX750) and cable attachment...fabricated mount welded into backing plate...

Standard Tingates for disc brake application...Mark's SR500...standard kickstart bent to clear pegs...

Home made left...shortened SR brake lever...standard kickstart doesn't need bending with these and folding pegs...

Home made right...

Home made...reversed shift pattern...tricky if you're not used to it...

Home made right...shortened SR brake lever...

DCM left side...

DCM right side...Yam TR2/3 - TD3 rear drum...

Drum brakes:

Suzy 750 (GT750J) 4 LS front drum...

Left side of black cafe racer...note 38 tooth rear sprocket allowed by TX750 rear hub (you could even go smaller if required)...this also has a 525 chain...

Ben's TR/TD/TZ front drum...

Similar one on my Honda...

Rear drum from Yam TD2...not suited to SR as is, but the mirror image TR hub as fitted to the DCM (above) is...if you had one of these you could try to find a bare TR backing plate and transfer the moving parts over...

Hi guys

Here are some I made up in the last week, GSXR 750 pegs and levers($100) SV 650 master cylinder($40) 10mm aluminium plate(free from work).

Got to beat paying the massive prices Deuss are charging, maybe the are charging extra cause "God is in the machine"

I now have the shift side rear set on my track bike sorted out(on paper)and will finish fabricating it next week. Another step closer to finishing,once rearsets are sorted i will tackle the exhaust.

Here is the front drum from the Yam XS1...seems to have been the model for the later SR front drum...'cept this drum actually had real cooling vents with a removable steel cover and rubber plugs covering outlet holes in the side

...much like the old 750 Suzy drum did.

Not so easy to find these days...

The DCM...if I can get a 4LS Honda racing drum for my 350 this will get the Yam racing drum at the front as well...note that the 'longer-than-standard' (YZ465) kickstart is bent to tuck in tightly out of the way...it clears the fixed pegs as well...

(both great options for folks with REALLY deep pockets!)
