Cracked the standard header pipe on my bike on the weekend, have done a temp. repair for the time being but have decided to fabricate a new one. Is there any ideal pipe dia. to use?? I know they use to sell bigger header pipes for the TT/XT but cant remember the size. Was thinking around 1.5" Dia in stainless steel should be o.k

Just thinkin' about that too! • Measured my old standard, twin-wall header - ID 34.5 mm (OD 45.5 mm). • An aftermarket S/S header from Japan I've seen had the same ID, but the OD was only 38.0 mm because it was single-wall. • The Tingate header has an ID of 41.0 mm (OD 45.0 mm). • But hopwheel's White Bros header beats that - 1¾" (45.0 mm)! Is that internal dia., hopwheels? • Not sure what Overlander's header's dimensions are. Maybe Mikec can answer that! Sorry, there's no answer here, merely some facts & figures I've collected. But I hope it helps! Rgdz CL

I think that's OD on that 1 3/4" head pipe. The Supertrapp 3" IDS slip on I have is a 1 3/4" ID and it fits over the white bros. like a glove.
