Here's the link to Staintune...I had to modify the mount bracket on the pipe to make it fit, and make another bracket from the normal ubber mount extending forward...and...it's fairly loud www.staintune.com.au/SR

Hi all,
I agree with Stew, Staintune conti replicas sound very nice on the SR. I have one meant for a Ducati 900SS on my cafe racer, and one for a 600 on my daily ride (stock) SR. The smaller conti replica was picked up at a swap meeting for $45 Aus and only required a slight kink in the haeder pipe to fit it to the bike.
I also have a brand new Yoshimura alloy can (ment for a Honda CBR900) that I got at a swap meeting for $90 AUS that will be going on to my Supermotad.
If you go to swap meetings you can quite often pickup very good mufflers that can be fitted to the SR for very little money.

Hi all!
Andy put me onto biebo (the company name is kickstarter-classics@web.de) - excellent to work with and I found most of his prices pretty reasonable. There's also that "VD" site; looks great but appears pricey?

I got this pipe on a parts bike I bought for it's stator. The stator works great and the pipe sounds super, without being too loud at at low to moderate throttle. I also added a K&N filter to the stock airbox and upgraded to exhaust side top oiling, also from the parts bike. The bike now has more power and smoother delivery throughout the RPM band. I have to watch over-reving in the lower gears now, as the engine pulls strong right through 7000. I'm rebuilding the parts bike's stock SR carb (34 Mikuni) with the "Minton mods" and will jet it on the dyno for this pipe, but for now it runs great and I'm having a blast riding again!
