Hay guys just got a new supertrapp stainless steel universal muffler for my new SR I will be installing it on saterday what is the best way to fix a hanger to the muffler ? Thanks Bdy

Generally, you would have someone good at welding stainless steel (you?) weld a tab or square bracket with a slot or hole on the back side of the can. This would allow you to bolt on a tab or bracket and attach to somewhere solid like the passenger peg mount.

Well started installing the new muffler didnt have to worry about a hanger the inlet is to big the muffler is for 1 3/4 pipe Idont know if I can make it work any body deal with this before bdy

Not too big a deal Buddy... just go to your local bike dealer. Look through the aftermarket parts catalogue and order up a couple of the brassy looking metal spacers to take the size up on the inside of your new muffler. Should be fairly cheap. These things look like an expandable kind of sleeve. Two together should be the difference between your stock header and the new Supertrapp muffler. G Man

Thanks for the help G man. I looked and could not find one that would work but what I did find was a guy here in town R.E.F Unlimited that builds custom headers he builds them for everything Bikes, custom cars/trucks,off road racers,boats he showed me his shop does very nice custom work .He can do one for about $100 thats not bad I will let you Know how it comes out bdy
