Looking through some of my stuff the other day and was checking some numbers on the cases i have. All of the cases are stamped 2J2 at the start of the number. I know there is a thread somewhere that tells you what numbers were with what models but be buggered if i can find it.... Are these XT or SR cases?

On closer inspection one set of cases has 2H6 stamped on them and no numbers after it. Going off the table they are sr400 cases but seems strange there are no numbers after the 2H6 stamping? ?

I had the same with my SR400, the cases had a 2H6 prefix but no number, I used a set of number stamps an stamped the same serial number as the frame onto the cases.

In the past in Japan, they didn't bother with numbers as there was no theft, now they have numbers,2H6 is 400cc and Australian authorities require numbers stamped in these cases for rego here. regards Carl.
