G'day, how many of you have those oil temperature dipsticks? What kind of readings do you get? Mine sits around 70-80c, 90 tops if i am going a bit harder. How does that compare with yours?

I race mine and have an oil cooler so it will run pretty cool at 70 or 80 most days under racing conditions. 80 is fine if you don't have an oil cooler. just get worried when it gets to 100+

There's a liquid filled oil temp gauge available that helps absorbs the vibration of a single. I bought mine from eBay member Biebo.

Mine usually tops around 90C and that's with the ridiculously over sized header pipe resting against the frame's downtube. I've talk to a few people about the temp (including a veteran race engineer) and I've been assured that anything under 120C is nothing to worry about.

Mine will go between 90 and 100C in Summer and 80-90 in the Winter... SR
