Hi Guy's I've been off line a while ,my old PC finally blew Wow you don't realize how important a PC is in this day & age until its broke . I'm Now at the stage of rebuilding the top end & as I've got a new Wiseco 10-1 piston and a high lift cam to fit I think that there might be a issue with the valves contacting the piston . I know about putting Plasticine in the valve pockets in the piston crown assembling the head & cam then turning the motor over by hand (carefully) but WHAT clearance should I be looking for ? .Also I'm thinking that after do this test I should put on a new head gasket as they should only be compressed once ,right ? Best regards LURCH

Hallo Lurch,
2mm on the inlet and 2.5mm on the outlet are safe values.

Hallo Lurch,
you can reuse the gasket provided you donot tighten it up to the advised torgue, take about 0.1mm for compressing the gasket.
