I found this neat little coffee froth thermometer at our local hardware store it cost $9.95 goes up to 100C and has a nice red zone at 70C , The bike seems to sit at around the 70C mark unless i really push it then it climbs to about 85. I drilled a snug hole for the shaft of the thermometer through the oil filler plug then recessed it a little to take the back of the gauge ,then cut away the inner part of the bit you use to tighten the plug up. all up about 20 min work . If I was to do it again I would cut off the dipstick part of the filler cap and use the thermometer shaft it turns out to be the same length as the dipstick mine I put slightly off center and ran the thermometer shaft down beside the Dipstick. Only problem in doing it this way is the shaft catches the shelf thats in the oil tank so you need to pull the thermometer out a little before you unscrew the
