Hi all I took my SR for a nice long ride last week about 350km and when I got home I found that I had a slight oil leek from the left hand side of the head not a lot just a small amount on the finns nothing running down the cylinder. Do you think that retensioning the head bolts could help or maybe just wipe the oil off untill somthing gives?

considering how cheap a gasket set is id go get one and replace the cylinder gaskets and tension all the bolt while you're there, also keep a very close eye on your oil as it might only look like a tiny leak but remember that most of the oil has probably been burnt away with the heat of the cylinder so youve probably lost more than you think. i had a tiny little leak from the top the the cylinder and i kinda ignored it, 3days later i checked my oil and i had lost 1 LITRE of oil!!!!!!
dont let it go man, get it sorted before you kill your engine!!!
peace
Damo
