Ive just bought a 500 motor to replace my 400 , more thump ;Di'm in the process of striping the bike for a complete nut & bolt rebuild
Having read posts on "wet sumping" how much oil should come out of the crankcase ? the bike was started yesterday then left overnight & I drained the oil while the motor was cold ,doesn't matter because the motor is being stripped anyway .I have measured the quantity of the drained oil and its about 600cc .
Is this normal or is the motor wet sumping ?
I'm not familiar with dry sump motors
