Just did my cam chain this weekend. Remove left hand side cover and line up the T mark on the flywheel with the little moulded in triangular timing mark on the crankcase. On compression stroke of course. This little arrow may be obscured by the gasket. Once I found it I put a very small dab of white paint on the crankcase to mark its position. I did the chain, but then chickened on valve clearances, because I only had ordinary straight feeler guages which I needed to lay a couple together to get the correct thickness. I'm going to see if the local bike shop has any of the purpose built tools in the right thicknesses. Borrowed my mum's tension wrench, (everybody's mum has a tension wrench, welder, 9 inch angle grinder, tap and die set, metric sockets, adjustable reamers, drill press, etc, don't they?)and did the adjuster locknut and cover up to the tension listed in the book. Let us know how you go with valve clearances, especially with regard to noise reduction. Mick
