Greetings, I am new as well as new to my 1980 SR500E. Great site.
I seem to be having a problem getting my bike to start. I have had it started, but am having quite a time with the kick start indicator. I know the white line should be lined up so you get a good kick at TDC, but I don't always get a good kick. Some times I need to play around with where that white line lines up in the window to get it to crank real smooth with no back pressure. Is this common or is something out of wack.... like timing?
Any input?
Thanks Curt

I think my question was answered from the gent who posted directly in front of me.
Thanks though.
I will search for similar questions before posting duplicate threads.
