Hi Bob: Welcome to the forum! Here are some questions for thought: What year is your bike? How many miles on it? Do you have any service history on the bike? Are you able to check the valve adjustment to see if they are adjusted too tight? Are you certain the valves aren't closing fully? They would have to unless adjusted too tight or were being held open by carbon deposits... or a bent valve? Decompressor not stuck or jammed? Are you able to perform a leak down test? Talk to you soon, G Man

g man,th e bike is a 79,under 2500 mi no history but then again it dosen't have much, orginal owner estate buy, removed covers ,plenty of clearance, have been hitting it w/penatrent for a few days and somethime get a little compression but its gummed up and if i can get themto close i don't want to risk a bent valve (or worse) leakdown?100%(or more) out of both valves, thanks bob
