Can you please highlight the main differences between this family of engines, ie; ignition systems, engine colours, charging systems, valve diameters, crankshaft throw weights, clutch mechanisms, etc........

The SR has a larger intake valve than the XT and more head finning. Camshaft is different allowing for more duration. Gearbox, clutch and internal ratios are the same, although final gearing was taller for the SR, with wider sprockets. SR ignition is CDI, whereas the XT is flywheel magneto w/points and doesn't require a battery to run. SR's came in natural silver colour for the engine wheras the XT and TT were painted black.

Did the TT have a lighter flywheel? Is it possible to use this on the SR for quicker revs??
