Evening all
I pulled my motor finally and its time to look at the frame
Trying to avoid a whole frame re-do as I like the bike to look its age, just trying to keep the rust at bay - BUT once you paint one room, you end up having to do the whole house
I was considering just using that car chassis undercoat, stone chip black paint. Anyone else used this?
What do you use thats durable and looks ok, without powder coating everything or completely stripping the frame for a re-paint?
cheers

I've always done centerstands and such with Fleet Farm Tractor & Implement paint. Seems reasonably durable. As long as it's all black I don't worry about touching up one part of the frame and leaving another.

Milkman,
I have used "Killrust" gloss black enamel a few times to touch up the lower frame rails of my TT500, and to do the sump plate and centre stand on the SR. As long as the item to be painted is clean of all dirt and grease it doesn't mater if the is a bit of rust this paint does a semi-descent job. It seems to last fairly well.
