Greetings everyone! I have finally tracked down a second disc for my SR front end and am now on the hunt for a caliper. The supply of XS650 calipers seems to have (suddenly) dried up. Won't the caliper off the XS400 work too? The mounting bolts/fork lower look the same... TIA, Kevin

The info I have is that Right hand calipers from '77/on XS750/850, XS1100 and XS360/400, XS500, '81/'82 XV920RH/RJ and '82 XJ650RJ Seca are bolt ons.

The late 70's XS400 Caliper bolt right on, I did a dual disc conversion on my cafe' racer years ago using one, before I went over to a single 13" full floating disc and 4 spot caliper. You used to be able pick up the XS400 caliper for less money than the XS650, but I think every one in the S/hand parts game now know that they are basically identical parts, and charge as for a 650 caliper.

Many thanks to colinjay and miker! I thought a XS400 caliper would work...so I found one from a '79. Now the modifications can begin! Update on Monday: the caliper arrived and it bolts up perfectly...now the cleaning and rebuild...
