hi all,
I am in search of a rear brake master cylinder for my 1978 sr500. Having great difficulty in sourcing one. The one i have from my parts bike is in a bad state. I was also wondering if anyone might know of any other master cylinders that could work with standard mounts and the standard action of the brake lever. A repair kit for the stock one costs something like $50 usd, which i think is a rip off for a spring and some washers, considering you can buy used master cylinders from modern bikes for a fraction of the price. Any advice is appreciated.

XS650 item looks about the same. Brake parts between the sr500 and the xs650 are often interchangable. ebay item # 280175506146
