www.denniskirk.com/jsp/common/img_pop.jsp?skuId=281741&imgId=0hi all, Is this the standard cable lubing tool design? You must have one end of the cable free right? Or are there tools where you can wrap the housing around the cable instead of sliding it in? How often should you lube cables anyway? How can you tell if the cables are old non lined, or the new kind with teflon that don't need lube?

Most standard Yam cables are teflon lined from the factory. Good cables. That's the lube tool I have as well... SR

well the ones i have are old even if they are spec yamaha, plus they have extensions for a longer bar. I think I want to replace them all with longer complete ones eventually.
Does any aftermarket company sell teflon cables at a reasonable price? Or should I just measure out the size I need and match them to a longer yamaha set. Are dirt bike options longer lasting & teflon lined?
