If you can figure out how to order one from where you are, those look like SR seats available from Orange Boulevard or Rakutan in Japan.

yeah, but here's the thing: why spend $350+ shipping on a seat you can figure out how to fab for $50? Japanese stuff is pretty and all, but it usually costs the same amount I spent on my whole bike, and that's just silly.
do you think a lot of craft goes into fitting a seat that looks cut down but actually is useful? I sometimes get the feeling, looking at the japanese pics and videos, that the bikes we see don't get many miles on them.

wow! I'd never looked at that Orange Boulevard site before, thanks for the link Miker!
The build quality of these bikes knocks me out! If I'm ever rich and in Japan you can bet I'd have one of these puppies as a daily rider.

Well, if you are looking for a cheap solution there is always the option of reshaping the foam on the stock seat pan. It only took me a few hours and gave me the low profile look I was after. flickr.com/photos/cameronsr500I think the seat pictures are on page 2. -Cameron

Yeah! I've always really liked what you did with your seat, but the stock seat sweeps up too much to make allowances for the rear fender and seat cowling, which I don't like. It took both said pieces off, so I'd like to do something closer to the flat frame. I crashed my bike today though and rashed up my perfectly good stock seat, so I may experiment with it now....
