Hi all i am setting up the front brakes on my track bike and have found that the master cylinder i intend using is from a XS750 from memory.
Now my problem is this master was originally used to run a twin disc set up but i will only be running a single.
The bore is 11/16" on the master (i think standard Sr is 5/8) Has any one been down this track before, because i dont want to set it up to find it will try and lock the front wheel or something similar.
Eventually i hope to go to a R6 caliper or something similar but standard will have to do for now.

Hi Fenz,
I haven't done the same, but basic hydraulic theory says that an increase in the mastercylinder diameter will result in a reduction in lever travel for the same movement of the slave (caliper) cylinder. I don't think an increase of 1/16" diameter in the master cylinder will create too much of a problem.

It all depends what caliper you are using as well.
What does the front brake lever feel like? Is it wooden or too spongy? That's the first test. If it is wooden, you will need a smaller bore. If it is too spongy, you will need a bigger bore.
