Hello from Dave in sunny west oz . Anyone got a good contact for some new braided hoses ? My 5hunge has still got the old hoses on her . I've got the XS650 front with the twin discs & rear disc so I need 4 hoses & a splitter . Any ideas ? Cheers Dave

Hey Dave. You can run 2 lines direct from your front master to each caliper using a dual banjo bolt, and elimimate the splitter block. I've got that set up (after it was recommended here) on one one of my bikes and it works well. I would think Vanem carries braided lines. Since they specialize in SR's it might be easiest to find the proper sizes from them. Otherwise, it might be a trick to find the proper lengths, as if I remember correctly when I looked for mine, Galfer, Goodridge and Hel did not list a retrofit "kit" for the SR. Here's Galfer's page from their universal lines: www.galferusa.com/MOTO.htmlHope this doesn't muck up the water much. Good luck.

Thank you for the info chaps , much appreciated . I did try Adrian but he hasn't got back to me . I've actually got mine set up with the 2 hoses going off the standard master , works OK but I think it'll work better with new hoses splitting at the normal spot under the bottom 3clamp . Less hose more pressure I think ? I had a contact in Queensland & they can make them up but I've lost their phone number . Cheers Dave .

Dave, changing the brake line will not change the pressure at the caliper.you say you have the standard master?as in a single brake sys? if so that would be your problem, you need a larger bore master due to that you need to move more fluid to move the extra piston. hope this helps,Bob
