Ah, OK...sorry...well I guess you'll probably all have to join up with the site and check the bikes out...some interesting stuff in there. SR

I don't get it, I belong here, I am also a member of Yahoo and yet I can't seem to get any further than trying to get my email verified. Any sugestions. I've tried on 2 or 3 different occasions to get in so I can check out the monoshock suspension setup, to no avail.
Point is, I have an 81' SR500, that I'm hoping to revive before too much longer, and I'm looking for ideas. I wanted to check this rear suspension out. I also have an RZ350 "Rollong Chassis" that I've considered looking for a place to install the wheels, along with the complete front and rear suspension systems on. I've considered the RD350 that I have and decided "NO". I'm presently considering the SR500, a CB400F & a CB350F. Any input would be appreciated. I may end up just selling the complete rolling chassis to provide some Project money. I'm just not sure yet. I could never afford an RZ or Banshee motor for the RZ chassis. Later on, Bill

Hi Bill, Perhaps try making a whole new Yahoo identity for one time just to have a look. Perhaps that will do it. SR

Sorry guys, I meant to let ya know that on the 18th of March, I got in without a problem and was very impressed with the work that Ken Crane has done on his SR500. Not exactly the look I'd like to achieve but, nothing wrong with his job though. I wouldn't mind trying a single shock version but, I've got other things in front of the SR project for now. I'll keep you posted though. Later on, Bill

Sorry to dredge up an old thread but as a new member here, I just thought I would go back over some of the old post to see what I could pick up. Anyway, the single shock bike Stew linked to in the top post is mine. If anyone has any questions about what parts I used, the math involved in getting the ratios and progressive rates right, or just in general, ask away.
I have virtually the whole build documented with photos and a list of all the parts and mods that are used as well.

>I have virtually the whole build documented with photos and a list of >all the parts and mods that are used as well. Then why don't you show us? Well..........there are 2 options here. One is to join my Yahoo group and the other is to post 36 pics here. One other thing I would like to do is to find a place I can upload all the file and photos I have for SR500's. Weights of each component, specs for '78-'81 U.S. models, jetting charts, and a few other things are the files I have. Any ideas would be helpful.

All the free places that I have found don't give enough space to upload everything I have. I would need at least 250meg and more like 500meg to be comfortable and have room to grow. I may have something in the works though.

Looks like it would cost you $4.45/month on netfirms for 10 GB of disk space. Time to start compressing files.
