Can someone, can give me a hint om how to get the old wheel bearings out of the cast wheel hub? They are pressed against a narrowing in the hub from both sides. In addition there are a steel tube between the bearings, which fills the space between the left and right bearing completely, and makes it impossible to pry them out from the inside, like described in the Haynes manual.

weld a nut inside the single bearing, pull it out with a puller and you can punch out the other 2

The sleeve between the bearings is supposed be knocked out of line so you can use a drift and bang the bearings out from the opposite side. sometines there is a hole drilled in the side of the spacer to help you do this. If you can't manage to dislodge the spacer you can try to borrow slidehammer style puller from an auto parts chain. Good luck.

Hi, Usually the bearing spacer has a narrow washer pressed onto its outisde diameter, in about the middle of the spacer...you should be able to push the end of the spacer down far enough to get a drift onto the bearing's inner race and tap the bearing out. Heating the wheel up in the area of the bearing with a hairdryer or a heat gun also helps when it's time to tap the bearing out. Tap around the bearing as you go, don't try to tap it straight out at one position only. SR

Hi, thanks to you all, It was rally StewRoss that made me understand how to do this. The narrow washer at the left side of the bearing spacer, was not something I expected. But it's clever solution to help the inserting of the main axle. I like the Yamaha constructors more and more The bearings came out fine. have a nice day!
