Was just looking over www.kedo.com - looks like a nice source for parts . . . except - If you look at their shipping instructions, it says DHL shipping worldwide except Canada & USA. If you try to create a profile for ordering - the pull-down list includes all countries except, again, Canada & USA. I'm guessing they don't, or can't, ship to North America for some reason. Anyone know for sure?

funny you should bring this up. i was just looking at the same note and wondering how tough / expensive it would be to get stuff to the US. as you may know i am poking around for buyers for my 78SR with 3600 miles. truth be told i would love to keep it but i fear that it may not be the best bike to cafe. main reason being parts like wheels, seat and tanks. if i could find the stuff i would keep the bike with out a doubt. sorry for hijacking this... but. so the question is.... to cafe or to sell? would i be better off with the SR or a 350 / 360 honda? part of me thinks the SR would be a more "sound" bike, but would the honda be a more affordable? i see post about guys parting off a SR because the stator went bad! please help me flip this coin! should i cafe it? or find a better bike for the task? i think this kedo could be the deciding factor. wonder if it would be a good idea to lump up a US order? a few of us could join it to reduce the shipping cost. more info on my quest: www.scooterbbs.com/board/DCForumID10/1206.html

hello, > i was wondering if you sell parts for the sr500 to buyers in the u.s.? > > tanks , seats ect... > > > thanks much. > -ian in cleveland ohio
Hello Ian Yes we do, but would prefer a reasonable amount of parts. Makes it worth while for us BUT also for you as far as shipping costs. We have all parts available, mostly custom, but nothing is a drama. Let us know what you want and we'll do it. Regards from Shawn at Deus

Hi, Yes it would be better to get a group order for your postage costs, but I still think that they (Deus) would send the stuff over. Rodentrancher, about the modification of the SR...the good thing about the SR is that you can fairly easily alter it's looks and not have to make permanent changes to the basic bike if you don't want to. Changes like wheels, bars, tanks pipes etc...have all been done many times before and the parts are available from wreckers or e-bay with not much effort. In the end if you tire of the bike's looks you can always change it back again...and again...heh, heh...some things never stop... There's also a huge aftermarket for this bike well and truly established...or as with me, as much as possible you make your own...just to be a bit different. I also love my 350 Hondas; but there's something about a big single... ..I've had my first one for over 26 years now and I'd never sell it... SR

Pagoda,
An SR makes a better cafe than a Honda 350 IMO, mostly because it's a more interesting and less common bike. But if I was really concerned about keeping a bike running forever I'd get an XS650, it also makes a good cafe and has tons of old bikes for parts out there.

Anyone know for sure? They used to ship to the US. A couple of years ago (or so) they decided to stop shipping to the US & Canada. When I saw their shipping instructions I emailed them and asked them about it. They said they had problems with insurance on shipments to the US & Canada. Funny thing was, I left the house shortly after I read the email and spotted a DHL truck within a mile of my home. And, if you live across the border in Mexico you can get parts from them. I think there's more to it than insurance issues since they will ship everywhere else in the world but the US & Canada.

hallo
The last shipment we did @ evamotor: an american customer ordered for us$ 2000+ Daytona parts in december 2005. parts were shipped to him in a big box in januari 2006. box was returned by the customs with the notice to repack everything in boxes with a certain max size . so we did and the 2 boxes were shipped again with track and trace. customer was informed about this all. in april we received an email from our customer if the goods were really send to him. Track and trace told us packkages were @ uscustoms in mai we received a email from customer he has received one box and as far as we know he is still waiting for the second. and we know more stories like this. that is why kedo is not shipping anymore.
but if anyone wants parts from kedo i am more than willing to order them for you andship them to you. if interested mail me
regards sjef
