G'day fellas, I am just in the process of replacing the chain and sprockets on my 78 SR500. I am also regreasing the swingarm bearings. I opened the dreaded Clymer manual for my bike to find that their listing of torque settings for the bike is pretty poor. Could anybody tell me what the torque settings are for the bolts which hold on the rear sprocket, the large nut which holds on the front sprocket and the swingarm pivot nut. Any help much appreciated. Simon.

- Front sprocket nut: 60 Nm (6.0 m-kg) (43.5 ft-lb)
- Pivot shaft: 80 Nm (8.0 m-kg) (58.0 ft-lb)

Hi Simon: Save the link to this online SR500 manual in your favourites. It is courtesy of Keith Porter at Slash5.net. www.slash5.net/sr500.htmlVery handy. Also, you can read through the links board on this forum to find other interesting and useful links. Welcome to the forum by the way! Talk to you soon, G Man

Great resource.
Thanks G Man (and Keith)!
I must do something similar with the manual I've got.
