To those of you that have modified your chassis, what swingarms will fit the stock frame? I have a spare '89 GSXR750 suspension c/w wheels and braking system that needs a new home and also a ZX7 setup too. Does anyone have, at their fingertips, the dimension of the swingarm width at the pivot?
Thanks!

I just replaced my swingarm roller bearings and bolted it back on, but I was able to get a tape measure on it. It measures, approximately, 199mm (or 7 7/8 ") from outside of dust seal to outside of dust seal. I was looking at doing something similar with some running gear from a '96 YZF600 (I have a complete rolling chassis) but it seems like a bigger chore than I want to get into right now. I am buying a couple of old TT500s, one of which has the aluminum swingarm, this weekend. I was looking into trying that on my SR. It is about 1" longer, and with some 13" Works shocks, should help the handling a little. We'll see.

Thanks for measuring that up for me Jim!! I'll have to wait until the weekend to get into my shed, it's dark by the time I make it home from work these days, but I think I've got a swingarm that'll work.
