Can anyone tell me if cutting off the pasenger peg frame tubing adversely affects the frame? Thanks, Steve

A friend of mine cut off the passenger peg frame mounts and had no problem. This was a 1979 model. Some newer SR500's have bolt on passenger peg mounts in place of the welded frame mounts. I've thought about cutting the mounts off my SR but the right side one is used to mount the header megaphone so I've left them alone.
