Help needed again I'm afraid
Does anyone know where i could get a parts book or microfiche for my SR400SP ? chassis #2J4-005717 Engine # 2H6
I believe its a 79 model but I'm not absolutely sure as 79 was the year it was registered here in the UK . I know that many parts are the same as the SR500 but I'm not sure if things like pistons & cylinder head gaskets are the same .I want to strip the engine at some stage but dont want to be stuck trying to find spares
I can get the part numbers for the 500 on the Yamaha website but nothing for the 400 as it wasn't sold in the US
I have the Zedder Yamaha parts cross reference software so if i know the 400s part number i could easily find out if its the same part as the 500
The only difference between the bikes that I know of is that the 400 uses a different crankshaft with a shorter stroke and different jets in the carb
Any help on this one would be really Cool ;D ;D
