Well despite living here in sunny San Diego 10 miles from Mexico, that pretty much uses up my Spanish vocabulary. I bought a SR 500 two weeks ago. Guy wanted 1200 for it. I had never heard of them before I saw his add on craigslist, but started researching on the net and found that some crazy people all over, especially Ausies seem to love them. So I go over to this old guys house, he has two old BMWs and the SR. Has to sell it but doesn't want to. I'm a little discouraged by the sight of it, dirt and rust and oil and corrosion and dents. What the hell 1200 
but hes a classic old school guy, I like him, so what the hell, lets see if I can start it. He shows me the drill and second kick...puh puh puh puh, what the hell this thing is a trip. rev it up and it starts backing up on its center stand. He gets on his bike and " Lets go " So by the time I get back after a 15 minute ride I'm counting out 12 benjamins and he's sorta lookin like hes gonna cry. Since then I remooved the turn signals and rear light. Through some black drag bars and bar end mirrors on, got the rear brake working, allthough it drags sometimes. Oil seems to leak everywhere, but I love this little sucker. I will post a photo when I figure out how to. I want to explain how I go by bukowski. after reading him, enjoying some boozie weekends like him, fishing all day, bragging and cussing and probably being an all around bad example to my sons one summer, my wife says " So what now your trying to become bukowski " I was online at the time at bloodydecks.com and I thought OK then theres my screen name.
