Greetings from oakland, california. I have been riding two wheel vehicles ever sinse I can remember (with the exception of my big wheel) . I started riding a vespa 150 sprint when I was 15 to commute to school. but found I needed a bike with more power, better brakes and suspension. At 18 I bought my first motor cycle, a 78 yamaha rd 400. What a transition that was. I quickly adapted to the power of the 2 stroke twin and loved every minute of it. However, riding with my left hand hoovering just above the clutch lever in the event the bike might seize started to become alittle unnerving. To no surprise, the bike sits in my garage with the top end apart. I own a completly stock 79 sr500, with rebuilt top end. I absolutely love this bike.
