hi there, I just found an 81 sr 500 for sale near me that has been sittin for awhile, average amount of surface rust, it wouldn't roll, all eletronics where takin off because the guy was racing it back in the late 80's so all it has is a magneto, the motor did kick over and had some compresion....have you got the point yet? how much money is it going to take for me to get the motor to come back to life. Oh yeah he also said it has a 540 kit in it white bros pipe, throttle and carb kit. could someone that really knows what they're talkin about tell me what I'm getting myself into. He wants 500 for it but I'm thinkin 300 tops!
