Hi, I have 3 SR's (well they have to end up somewhere). A cafe racer (E), a stocky (G) and a basket case (E) ;D. I had an SR back in 1978 and absolutely loved it, especially after throwing the standard air box, muffler and fitting a H4 unit where the sealed beam thing that Yamaha call a headlight used to sit. Only problem I ever had was dirty fuel which clogged the carby - not counting sliding down the road. I got stuck at the base of a mountain that day (not enough juice got to the carby to get me over the mountain), had to go back to pub and call for help in the shape of a ute. Since then, I have always fitted fuel filters. Anyways, hope to meet more Sydney SR owners and talk turkey over a beer.

Arrrgh YES a beer was mentioned and RD quickly got responding. Mark welcome to the forum more than happy to meet for a beer and chew the fat.( whats that I hear RD say, a beer was mentioned) Especially if is over my two favorite subjects beer & women. Occasionally we talk about bikes. If by chance you have a road registered SR you could put the rest of the Sydney chapter of the SR Club inc to sham on our monthly rides. Just watch the forum for dates. Even if you don't have an SR going your still welcome. Curly

Hi RD, I'm in North Parramatta. I have a confession to make, I like beer, but like Rum and Coke better, have been mauled by the bear on many an occassion. Haven't currently got a road registered SR, but given time and revenue it will happen. Looking forward to meeting fellow SR enthusiasts in Sydney. Thanks for warm welcome, Mark.

Cheers Rich

Ahhh the Bundy Bear. I wrestled with him yesterday, and he knocked me around well and good. Every time I think I have him licked........every time I'm wrong, so wrong.

RD, how can they be so cruel ! I bought the black SR if she was road registerable (i.e. Blue slip) and she passed with flying colours. My SR500G had Canberra rego, which I cashed in when I bought my Kwaka ER6F, so the G model is also registerable with a little work, she needs a new mirror, battery and muffler and hey presto. My basketcase E model is apart all over the shed and I have to fit a swingarm bolt off a SR400 with grease nipples on the ends and do some work on the rusty spots, then rebuild on a budget. Hey milkman, we should get smashed together sometime.
