Hello from the sunny south. I have a '78 SR 500 in very good condition that I'm getting ready to tear into ... Engine rebuild and Cafe build-up. Also have an RZ 350 in sad shape sitting in the corner of the garage waiting on a complete resto - or maybe just buy a running one and use this one for parts. Disability-retired USPS Letter Carrier (bad back). After 20 years carring mail in Florida (ST. Petersburb area) moved closer to the Ga. Mountains.

Rides are limited to 1 - 2 hrs total ... just depends on how much fun I'm having and how much I want to "pay" for it the next day !!! Can ride around here from March through the end of Oct. with some rides latter in year if weather co-operates and not too cold ... also don't ride in rain anymore (cold and rain make back act up even worse). Found an '85 RZ350 near by totally stock with just over 10,000 miles on it in great shape for $3500. Going to check it out this week ! Merry Christmas, Gabby

end of October? I was in Atlanta on Tuesday and Wednesday and it was lovely riding weather. Either I was there in great December weather or us yankees are a little more accustomed to the cold! Welcome to the group. I look forward to seeing pics of your project taking shape.

Trouthunter, Hope you weren't here to trout fish ... with the drought we're having you could just about walk in and pick them up by hand. Yes, we are having some freaky weather latley. Today I woke up to 27 degrees. I originally came from a small town in Illinois so I remember the "real" cold weather and snow. (transplanted Yankee) If your ever back this way let me know , I can direct you to some really good N Georgia roads up by the Suches area, but not as full of cars w/ flashing blue lights . There's a little lunch place in Turner's Corner that has great lunches out over the creek (St. RT. 19 &129). You can sit and watch the towtrucks bringing out the torn up rice rockets that the Kiddies couldn't handle up there. Gabby
