My name is Red Galvin. I just bought a '78sr500 with 2500 miles , original tires, clean. My plan is to build a boardtrack type bike with 21" wheels and a hardtail. Yes I'm crazy. I intend to race it in the Horse Stampeed next year. I need to find spoked wheels or hubs. Any ideas?

I just read a book about the "board track" racers in the early 20th century. Those guys were insane, and fearless. Racing on wood....lots of splinters.  |

Welcome mate...interesting idea. Why not! I too love board racers...looking for information on one called a New Century...not much around on these bikes? Send us pics as you go...nice long tank etc...excellent. SR  |

Did you buy that on Ebay? I was watching one that was about 50 miles from where I live.
edit: I checked the auction again and noticed that your ebay name is the same as your name here. Congrats on the very nice purchase! So, you must not live all that far from me. Where are you located?
