I have just begun a resurrection/customization of a '79 SR500 that was passed on to me by a friend who said "you'll do something with it." I have a lot of experience with Triumph twins but cut my teeth on two different Yamaha XS400's and a Honda GB500. I am glad I found this forum; I'll need to pick the collective experience and wisdom as I encounter "rough patches"
