Welcome to the SR500 forum grandad! I got my SR for my 60th birthday, but not for a mid life crisis (I had that at age 35).
However, I can report that having this bike makes me feel like a kid again.

hi back! geez that was quick! iv been buyin stuff as well....if i can figure out how to post a pic ...il let u see where im up to If you scroll down to my post in the following thread, it gives some pointers on how to post a pic. sr500forum.proboards38.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=projects&thread=1183305752&page=1Hope this helps, G Man p.s.: When you are posting a reply, two buttons beside the "post reply" button is a button labelled "spell check" if you wish. Unless of course you prefer the spelling as you have it. If that is the case, then by all means carry on! ;D ;D ;D

+1 on the pics. that's great that you have the times, tools, and ability to build all that stuff yourself. That should make for a pretty custom racer.
Welcome to the forum!

"wobbled like a pregnant dog" - I like that expression, I'm going to use it!
The tank looks the goods to me. What else have you got planned for her? Are you going to build up the seat to be a humpback, or a two-seater?
