I'm recently the new owner of a 2002 SR400, which for the moment also sports a red-and-white P plate. My friends think I'm out of my head for riding a motorbike with one cylinder and no electric start. I disagree—if kicking over and thumping about is wrong, I don't want to be right.

I heard about the Kangaroo Valley ride this year, StewRoss, and intended to come for a day out, but work intervened. I'll get a picture up once I've taken one in daylight.

Welcome to the SR500 (and 400) Forum!Great to have you here. Also looking forward to a pic. I disagree—if kicking over and thumping about is wrong, I don't want to be right. I think you have the start to a country song there...! ;D G Man

Hey Fiasco, another Sydney 400 rider here! Great to see you on the forums.
I'm going for a ride up Bells line of road in the next week or two, to Lithgow, and probably go for a poke around the small arms museum. Might not be your cup of tea, but anyway, should go for a ride some time!

Welcome Fiasco.
I'm in Sydney also, in the Inner West. We'll have to get our end happening like those boys in the ACT.

A bog-stocker! Looks beautiful - I was -this- close to getting a black engine model as well.
Where abouts in Sydney are you? I'm up in the hills district.

Yairs, thanks, I'm getting more and more fond of the stock look the more I ride it, and I don't think I *want* to do any customising. I've even used the Jesus bar to tie things down---what do you cafe racers do with shopping? Sooner or later there'll almost certainly be carburettion gymnastics, though. Like Milkman I'm from the deepest, darkest Inner West. The car park pictured is in Five Dock, on the Bay Run.

C'mon lets go for a ride sometime! Seeing as though you're inner-citiers, how about a run down the RNP?
