G'Day from Queanbeyan N.S.W. I first bought my SR500 in 1988. I then gave it to my younger brother who rode it around for a few years, then he gave it to my older brother. I just got it back on the weekend. It's in a pretty sorry state, but it came with 5 trophys that my brother won for Best Rat Bike from 97 to 2002 at the Jack Hogg memorial rally in Moruya N.S.W.
I've also got a 98 Honda shadow 1100 Aero that I use for everyday transport.

Here's a couple of pics I took with my phone. The first one is an experiment using a Norton Fiberglass tank and seat. Looks like it might be easy to fit as Norton commandos had a big backbone like the Sr's. The second pic is the same bike with it's own tank. It had sat for three years. We changed the oil and petrol and it started on the fourth kick.   Cheers. |
