Hello,
New guy here, My name is Curtis, I live in Ontario Canada and I am building up a 1978 Yamaha SR500
I am a mechanic by trade (farm tractors, ATV's, sleds, and small engines) I do dabble with the street bikes, including restoring my 1972 Kawasaki S2 350 Triple last year.
I just recently removed my stock, worn out, noisy SR motor and sent it out to Adjustment Tech Racing here in Ontario to have the following done to it:
540 kit
Port and polish
Shaved Head
Flat Track cam
This is going to be my daily driver, as well as a semi show bike.
I am also having a stainless steel header pipe built (to the white brothers specs) and a brand new hindle super sport muffler to come out the back.
I also, am working on building my rear sets out of alluminum, and having the pegs machined from stainless, but, being as i am fully booked with a 50 hour work week, it makes it hard to get any sort of fabricating done before i get to tired to even turn another wrench.
No pics as of yet, because my camera has taken a turn for the worse and it wont do the bike any justice.
So, in closing, I just wanted to say hello to everyone and let everyone know the plans for my project.
