Thankfully the heat seems to going away for another year. (I say this every Autumn).
Canberra is fairly cold in the Winter...not as cold as some places of course...but I look forward to the end of the Summer every year.
We are lucky enough here in Aus to be able to ride all year round...even in Canberra's Winter...it's just a little bitey...
They reckon we might have a little snow on the moutains soon...it doesn't ever last long in any case...but that is still fairly unusual for this time of year...maybe I'll wish for Summer again soon.
Hope you guys enjoy your Summer.
Gary get that SR out...

Hey Stew! Sounds like San Diego weather. I have a few more twiddly bits to finish up. The ss brake lines I ordered were too long, so I had to go with a different solution, chain, wiring the mini speedo, etc. Sidetracked by the rearsets extravaganza (long story, won't post now, but had to fab my own mounting plates). So...almost....!!!! Also, must admit I've gotten a bit distracted, bought an 03 SV650 naked for more riding time, and less kicking time than the '78 SR (unfortunately, I think the stators a gonner on my '78 ). Good to see you guys are getting out again...snow on the hills this morning...probably gone now though....didn't seem that cold last night.
Might go riding again this weekend...warm clothes of course.
Snow hardly ever comes down here though...just makes it cool....very cool...

Riding season. Fancy that, I almost forgot about that. I used to live in Northern Minnesota. It's so good to live in Oz. This is almost too good to be true. A climate that really suits motorcyclists. It starts to bite a bit above 40 degrees Celcius though, but it's all good. Enjoy the summer while you can. We used to race our bikes around frozen lakes in winter before the snow got too deep. Very slippery, very safe. Lots of fun. Where else can a 90cc stepthrough pull a massive 200 metre long power slide? True pretend superbike racing on the cheap! ;D JSTAVA

Jstava, I used to take my Honda 50 Sport out on frozen lakes here (Minneapolis) when I was a kid! Nowadays you'd probably hit a pickup truck or ice house.
