Hi guys I just bought an SR500 traveled 1300km in one day with a mate in his van to pick it up! Its my first bike (almost i had an old Suzuki back in 1976 for about 6 months) we plan to go on some rallies and weekends away as soon as I get my license at a speed limit of 80km/h on L plates it takes a while to go anywhere my SR is an 1980s model and my mates is i think an 1978 we figure if we both have an SR then we only need to take one set of spares . I think Ill be asking some questions soon its great to see a site like this one, keep up the good work

Narooma is a great part of the world. I'm from Jamberoo (near Kiama) originally, but also lived in Merimbula for a while, so I've been through Narooma many many times.
Some great roads in Sount Coast NSW, or the quick hop into the Cooma and teh Snowys, but be careful on that bloody Princes Highway.
Welcome aboard.

Sounds like afair deal Ed 2grand isnt a bad price in the current market . Good luck on your test I hope you pass . Narooma sounds like a great spot , would be a filth ride to the P.I. motogp . I flew over last year , but you guys on the east coast are in the prime places for those events when they come around . How's Troy Balliss 's effort last week ? go the man ! anyway safe riding cheers Dave .

hi guys lancer the bike seems in good nick, starts well and rides nice i put a new pair of secondhand shocks on and all seems fine its been starting first or second kick ( i think it likes me) ive done about 500 km on it so far and it used about 100ml of oil. Ill be giveing it an oil change and filters and clean this weekend. I think it is almost stock although it has a stainless exaust and muffler, I got my licence on it last friday and am haveing a ball!

Well done mate.
You must have had a bloody tired leg from all the start/stop they make you go through in your P's test training day. You would have had to kick it over 20+ times

Haha, you'd be a brave man to do your P's test on it.
*ride 1 kilometre*
"Alright switch off your bikes...
Did you see the wally in the 4WD back there? Yeah... gotta watch out for those...
Switch on your bikes..."
Repeat x20...
Congrats! Good to see you here!
