Hi, Folks - I'm Jim in Miami, Florida. I'm new to SRs, but not to motorcycles - I've been riding since about 1960. About six months ago I bought out a friend's inventory of "SR stuff" - 3 SRs, 1 TT and 1 SR-based flat rack race bike, plus 4 spare engines and a crapload of spares, including some performance stuff. I bought all this stuff to get at what I really wanted, a 78 SR500E with about 8500 miles in cherry shape. I gave a second SR (1980 SR500G) to one of my riding buddies, and we've just about finished restoring it. I'm also restoring a 74 BMW R90S, so I'm alternating back and forth on the two projects. I was delighted to come across this forum recently! I'll have a few questions soon, and I hope I'll be able to help others as well....
Ride safely, Jim
