Hi,
Just wanted to stop in and introduce myself. My name's Josh and I live in the SF east bay area. I had been looking around for a SR500 for awhile after hearing all the good reviews on the bike and liking the classic look. I bought a nice 1981 sr500h with 15k on it last month. I'm a new rider with only about 500 miles so far and most of that on the SR500. First bike was a 1974 Honda cb200. The bike has been very reliable and I'm really loving it. It had a few aftermarket items when I bought it such as progressive shocks, a fork brace, oil cooler, and k&n filter. For right now I've just been doing some polishing, a little touch up painting on the frame, and general maintenance on the bike. In the near future I plan to replace the muffler with a dunstall replica and put on some chrome sidecovers. One problem with the bike popped up today and I will post it in the technical engine forum.
