Hey Guys!
I've been lurking around the forums for some time, and hunting around for a SR500 for many months. I'm on my P's at the moment.
I needed a bike that started all time time to get me to work and back every day, rain, hail or shine, so after much deliberation I've gone with a brand new white SR400 from Deus Ex Machina. In the process of caffing it up myself - and learning lots and lots as I go.
I'm in North-West Sydney, and If you see me around, please come and say G'day!

Deus have advertised the prettiest SR I have ever seen in the latest Motorcycle Trader mag. Its white, got this wicked looking pipe, a neato looking tank/seat combo, and they are calling it a scrambler. It's beautiful.Tell me that's the one you bought, and I'll tell you that you are a man of refined and discriminating taste. Mick

Haha, wotavidone, I am a man of refined and descriminating taste... But i can't stand the scrambler they built! Apparantly it's an absolute blast to ride, but it's really not my thing. Certainly is an interesting little arrangement they've cooked up eh?
Gman, Christer and Fenz, thanks for your kind words. I've ridden a number of different bikes now (I've owned 3 in the six months I've been riding. One, sadly, came out second best in a argument with a telegraph pole) But there is something very special about the big single thumper. Dead reliabilty, good fuel consumption and an endless myriad of lights, blinkers, footpegs, mufflers, fuel tanks, handlebars and other bits and peices to make it your own.

Hi Marlon, Welcome to the site and to the SR World. I'm interested to hear how the 400's go and how you intend to modify the bike. In a lot of ways it is more fun doing the work yourself. Keep us informed how it's going along... SR

Hi Marlon, Yesterday I talked to Wayne here in Canberra. Wayne has also just bought a new Deus SR400; alloy tank, custom seat and all...they're starting to appear. Great! SR
