Gday all,
Got my Learners (bike) permit last week and my first bike yesterday and i'm loving it! Because of some changes to the legislation here in SA the SR500 is now a learner legal bike!!
Glad to see there's some support for older bikes around.
Ride Safe

Hi, Welcome to the forum...good to see that you've gone the SR route...a classic machine. Keep it when you get a bigger bike, just put it away and ride it on nice days...heh, heh... SR

Cheers peoples. This is a very friendly (and helpful) forum you have here. You should all be proud. ;D In fact in the last two weeks i've found the entire motorcycle fraternity to be extremely friendly (and helpful).
I bought the SR as i wanted something a little older that'd be good fun, fairly predictable, easy to maintain and when i'm looking to upgrade to something a little older or slower or faster or more antique or with more plastic on it or whatever i'd be wanting to keep this bike. It's turned out to be exactly that.
Quick question, if posting in the photo gallery do photo's need to have a url, ie from photobucket etc?

Quick question, if posting in the photo gallery do photo's need to have a url, ie from photobucket etc? Hi Staffy... Depends on how you want to post your pic. If you use the photo album, you just need to upload directly from your pc to the album. Then you could make a post and just tell us to look there, or copy the url from the album and hyperlink to it. If you want to embed a pic right in your post, then yes, you would have to have it already hosted somewhere such as photobucket or tinypic.com. See the following post... sr500forum.proboards38.com/index.cgi?board=Images&action=display&thread=1162003659Hope this helps. If not, PM me and I can walk you through it. Take care and talk to you soon, G Man
