Hello all, I signed up to the forum a while ago and thought it was about time I introduced myself. I owned my first SR way back in 79 and used and abused it for about seven years until I finally sold it on. 
I kind of missed it straight away and always promised myself I would get another. Well 20 years and many bikes later I have, I guess once you've got the thump in your blood it never really goes away.
Although the bike I found was pretty good cosmetically it needed freshening up with new shocks and tyres, and fuelling problems were rectified with a carb clean and rebuild kit, anyway we're back on the road and seeking out all the local twisty back lanes.
