Was invited by hopwheels to join, looked around and like what I see. Die hard thumper fan and have somewhere in the neighborhood of 15-17 XT500 TT500 and SR500 bikes and have owned to many to count. Havent counted for a while so dont really know how many I have. Been into these since my first TT500 back in 84 or 85 with a sidetrack into the Husqvarna 510 thumpers. Those brought me back to the Yamaha 500s. Real bugger to start. I like my 1 kick SR/TT/XT bikes the best. Anyway I just wanted to say hi and off to look around some more of the message board.

Yeah I need to get some pics of the toybox. Had many experiences on the 500 series bikes since I was a Junior in high school and bought my first TT500 with a 540 kit. Just got back from riding a 77 XT500 around the hills here testing some new parts I made. Some day soon I will need to get back to work on my SR500 project. It has a YZ 125 swingarm modified to dual shocks with aluminum Koni shocks, Billet tripple tree, fresh motor with a Web Cam, Ported head, 38mm Mikuni, Drilled rotors, polished side cases, powder coated and polished calipers, XT aluminum tank, holes drilled everywhere I could, and many other modifiactions I cant think of right now. Hope to get the weight down to near 250lbs and be street legal. Hope to have it done by spring of 2007. You might say I like to tinker and come up with good ideas. Been a mechanic for most of my life, a welder, and studied mechanical engineering. Some of the items I make can be seen on ebay under the name billalb if your interested.
